Hi Sneha,
here we see that the total distance travelled in 12 hours = 35 + 37 + 39 +...upto 12 terms.
this is nothing but an Ap with first term(a) = 35 and common difference(d) = 37-37 = 2
hence we are required to find the sum of the AP up to 12 terms.
formula to find the sum of AP up to n terms with the first term(a) and common difference (d) = [n/2(2a+(n-1)d)]
Hence the required distance = [12/2(2*35+(12-1)*2] = [6(70 +11*2)] = 6(70+22) = 552 kms
