Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) was set up as the first school of management within the IIT system in 1993 at a time when India had just opened its doors to economic liberalization. The school was established with an aim to develop managers with a strong technological background who would lead tomorrow’s corporate behemoths on the path of success.

Admission Process and eligibility
The selection of candidates for admission to the 2018-2020 batch of MBA at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur is a two-step process. In the first step, candidates are short-listed for Written Analysis Test and Personal Interview (WAT-PI) from among candidates who have
a valid CAT score equal to or above the cut-offs
o applied for the programme and satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme.
In the second step, final selection will be based on application rating, performance in CAT for domestic students and GMAT for international students, and the candidate’s performance in the WAT-PI round.
